Dr. Jim Lassiter is a general dentist in Jay, Florida that offers a personal approach to dentistry. He offers a full-mouth reconstruction for patients with lost, missing, or decayed teeth, including dental implants.  Dr. Lassiter is passionate about providing high-quality dental care, especially cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers.

Dr. Lassiter graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1996. Prior to studying at Florida, he attended the University of West Florida. Dr. Lassiter has been practicing for more than 30 years and has been practicing in his hometown of Jay, Florida since 1997. By continuing to take educational courses, Dr. Lassiter has remained current, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.

Dr. Lassiter has completed post-graduate training at the prestigious Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. At the Dawson Academy, dental professionals like Dr. Lassiter learn to examine and treat teeth as a part of the overall oral system, not just as stand-alone elements. This unique approach helps dentists identify underlying causes of problems, rather than just treating the symptoms. I’m an MAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?

MAGD stands for Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Mastership takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Less than 2 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Masters. When you see a dentist with MAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Masters practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

To become an AGD Master, a dentist must:

1. Complete over 1,100 credit hours of CE.
2. Earn 400 of those 1,100 credits in hands-on courses.
3. Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

Dr. Lassiter has been married to his wife Sandy, for more than 37 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren. Dr. Lassiter is also the pastor of Cobbtown Holiness Church. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
